Terms of Service
Last updated [date]. These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name] ("electronically", "we") for the electronically desktop app, the website at app.hardcore.build, and the service behind them.
1. What electronically is
electronically is an AI PCB reviewer. You open your own KiCad or Altium project in the desktop app; Ally, our AI agent, reviews the board and, when you ask, proposes changes to your files. Each proposed change is shown before and after and checked on a copy before you decide whether to apply it. Nothing is written to your files until you press Apply.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your email; there's no password. Keep access to your email secure, because a sign-in link gives access to your account.
- An account is for one person. You must be at least [16/18] and able to agree to these terms. If you use electronically for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
- You give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
3. Your files and designs
- You own your designs, including every change Ally makes for you. We claim no rights in them.
- You give us a limited licence to store, copy and process the files you upload, only to provide the service to you: to review and change your own board when you ask, and to keep the backups described in the Privacy Policy. We don't use your files to train AI models, don't share them with other customers, and don't process them on our test machines.
- You confirm you have the right to upload the files, and that they aren't export-controlled (for example ITAR or EAR), defense or medical-device data. The service isn't built for controlled data.
4. AI output and your responsibility
- Reviews and changes are produced by software and an AI model. They can be wrong or incomplete. A review that finds nothing does not mean a board has no faults.
- Findings marked "couldn't verify" were not checked; you are responsible for checking them yourself. A board is never shown as ready to order until you've read each of them.
- electronically does not sign off RF or high-speed designs, EMC, mains or electrical safety, medical use or compliance with any standard, and never certifies a product. Those need testing and a qualified person.
- You decide what to apply, build and sell. Check every design, and especially anything that affects safety, before you manufacture or use it.
5. Credits, plans and payment
- Reviews and questions are free. Changes use credits at the fixed prices on the pricing page; the price is shown on the Apply button before you apply a change. Larger jobs show an estimate and a maximum, and wait for your confirmation.
- A new account gets free credits for a limited time, as shown on the pricing page. Free credits have no cash value and expire.
- Credits you buy, with a plan or a pack, are added once your payment is confirmed.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for [confirm with billing]. [Refunds, taxes and payment-failure terms to be confirmed.]
- If a change is blocked by a fault on our side, its credits are returned. We may change prices for future periods with at least [30] days' notice.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use electronically to break the law or anyone's rights; to upload malware or data you may not share; to probe, overload or get around the service's security or limits; to resell or provide the service to others without our written agreement; or to copy our software, checks or models.
7. Confidentiality
We keep your files, project details and chats confidential, and access them only as the Privacy Policy describes. You keep confidential any non-public information about our service that we share with you.
8. Availability and changes
The service runs on one server and may be unavailable at times, including for maintenance or after a failure. We improve the app and the checks often; features may change. We'll tell you before we stop offering the service and give you time to take your data.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using electronically and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, with notice where we reasonably can. What happens to your data then is in the Privacy Policy.
10. Warranties and liability
[To be written by counsel.] Proposed: the service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those the law requires; we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including the cost of boards, parts or production built from a design; and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll tell you about material changes by email or in the app at least [30] days before they take effect.
12. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [Ontario, Canada]. Questions: support@electronically.ai.
